How to prepare for ScaleBreaker Patch for Healers

How to prepare for ScaleBreaker Patch for Healers
So my conclusion warden looks most appealing with changes. Templar and nercomancer are okay. Nontraditional heal classes will be strained greatly to compete.
The reason will be radius, and application of heals.

For instance, I there's either no visual queue for sorc surge heal... or it doesn't work. Still as it's only every 3 secs and on critical heals. I can see it as nothing but unreliable even if it worked.... Nightblades have more tools to work with so I see as still fun class to go towards. DragonKnights will suffer radius the most.

Skills to level for any class

  • Going to want to get healing ward morph for instances need solo burst.
  • Illustrious springs will be far greater option as springs is no longer spamable and cost reduction is minual.
  • While stamina healers got push back down by their magicka brethen. It's up to consideration that magicka healers might find usage usage of excess stamina with echoing vigor and ring of preservation with minor protection.
  • If worst happens... just barrier spam everything. Barrier will not go on 12 allies. I would pick the one with healing over time on it as that still stays on allies even if shield doesn't.
  • Bone surge will now go on 6 allies with major vitality.
  • Blood altar will now cost health. Either morph can be used by healer, but longer duration skill seems like the wisest choice, as  tanks could use the other unique synergy with higher cost of health. Still either is option and 1 of 4 ways to give minor lifesteal for any class should be used.
  • Siphon either morph is a good choice. The minor expedition will have 100% uptime assuming they attack once ever 4 secs.

Class notes:
I will briefly mention some notes about classes.
  • Warden gained expanding Heal. That makes the class look well rounded in all sorts of combat situations for healing class.
  • Templar got a buff in cleansing ritual which will put them ahead of the rest.
  • Nightblades... should have a chance to truly live out damage/heal playstle with overall changes in last 2 patches including this one. With this patch, they got a new unique skill for reducing damage of enemies.
  • Dragonknight got no noticable changes this patch and I am worried about their radius issues with new skill changes. They are likely to still using springs.
  • I am disappointed with my testing of the sorc class but they should still surive the patch with twlight. Otherwise, I didn't see the mentioned power surge (corrected) do any healing. The proc didn't seem to work as I tested it with nearby Community Ambassador I meet. I conclude it's either broken or unreliable.
Gear wise
  • I can't convince anyone navh will have practical application, but with orb changes it will have 1.6 cost reduction and 3.6 ish cost reduction with another synergy to ally every 20 secs. This cost reduction will be over 3 major resources.
  • Twlight remedy has nice 30k heal over secs and will be able to save bar space for allies under assumption with new orbs.
  • Hollowfang will be gear set that could shift into competitive healing set, so would collect it come time.

Updated: 8/9/19 Fixed critical surge to power surge.

What do you think Current Issues are with Healing in ESO?

What do you think Current Issues are with Healing in ESO?

As Former Class rep, and the so called healing one, I would like to come back to a favorite topic of myself which is "What are issues with ESO healing currently. With a bit more self awareness, the latest content really show cases healer role. Yet there's still issues that are hidden under the older content. These issues, I think are cost effectiveness of healers in gameplay, along with playstyle conflicts among healers that conflict with improving healer gameplay experience, and latest world design issues.

Cost Effectiveness

Taking a different perspective of why healers are less welcomed in dungeon game play is, because for the most experienced players it's not cost effective to use them.  First healers don't get a great chance to levy excess sustain over DPS/Tank, besides when using purge or siege shield. As such, I imagine if support skills costed more, then it would be more of sustain lost for dps, not to consider using healers. So while 3 DPS runs could still happen the ideal setup for fights would put healers in people's mind.

Playstyle Conflicts

Some I think biggest thing that holds healers back in gameplay is themselves. It's not so obvious, to those outside, but there's lot of arguments on how one should heal in eso. There's some who claim healers should dps some, while others who say no buffs then not a healer, then pure type of healers who just heal. There's some other types, that you can see from Elsweyr Healer sets that Zos carters towards, but biggest dilemma is how to buff one group without endangering another group. For me, I think issue is simplest if you make healers need to heal more. This way each group of healers can still enjoy their playstyles.

World Design

In the past, I considered self healing issue that healers face, but looking at it more. Worst issue is it not health regain? How is that we regain health in combat or even so fast out of combat? It doesn't give us a chance to use health pots or healers as much as it should for these situations. I just imagine a healer should be one to make sure everyone is ready and healthy for combat... but instead game does it for us. Still there's another issue with world design, that hurts healer's a lot

The Game is not very friendly for healers. Not to mention there's issues leveling to doing content slower then dps, but more so there's no chances to heal allies when roaming around content. I see a missed opportunity where people appericate a wandering healer came to help with content. At last death is either trival or battle scaling makes less risks for people to adventure on.

Final thoughts

After a little over a year, of analysis this what I have come up for healers. I believe this discussion really points out biggest issues of healers, not just in ESO, but in all gameplay. Still what do you guys think? How do we solve healer problem? Does it actually exist?

Sunpsire Healer Weekend 3

June 23, 2019 2
Sunpsire Healer Weekend 3
(shh ... lets ingore that I have 2 sources of magicka steal)

Life...giver is nice... but I forgot to switch it to negate from last time.

Onwards the 3rd attempt with vSS we crushed the fire boss with new tactics... let just burn the fire atros....we ended running like a smooth machine and got the fire done in hour. The tactics involved less movement of lots of call outs to get back into position. This method... is probably called "stack and burn".

Though taking it back a bit, I feel we made a lot of progress, because we could recap and see what happened during the fight. Tasear worked this time not dying to gsyers....well more like downloaded code's combat alerts. It tells me to move my stupid ass away from incoming doom, so less worry about latency or cluster of things going on. Both healer improved on orbs in rotation so sustain was dreamlike to all allies. Also over the general course of using eso logs. I think each healer moved up a grade or 2.

In regards to personal improvement went from mid 20s in hps to late 30s hps on average while on my best attempts going into early 40hps. Things I set out to do was increase orbs output and ...actually use healing springs enough to live up to healer "healer bot" name. There was also getting combat prayer rate even in chaos goal which I must say have completed. Also got 94.% uptime for minor prophecy for group.

Overall, I give myself pat on back in improvement, but there's room still to improve. I really filled in gaps to my weakness, but still could improve combat prayer numbers and uptime along with Siphon Spirit. Major courage is something to look at eventually but steady hitting mid 80s in uptime, so not so bad I say so myself. I shall continue onward for improvements.
