As I sit down, thinking about their latest attempt, I think back to how I used to call Alcast, Grumpy Alcast. Hell, I could tell even the devs thought thought he was bit too cynical. Still I lament my lack of understanding now.
It's been seven months since my term as Class Rep ended, but before I go on I would like to make something very Clear. While there is no denying a lot happened in between. Let me end these misunderstanding, and rumors still floating around.
I take responsibility for my choice as I said "Yes" when asked to be move from Class Rep to Community Ambassador Program. I was supposed to help build the program back up again. At last though, there was undisclosed incident happening with class rep at the time, and I felt wronged in the situation with accounting for my commitment and other issues. So I in official letter, resigned from my current volunteer position as community Ambassador.
My words to Zenimax Online Studios have long been said, but I will take this moment to say one more thing. I am glad we worked out our issues, but it wasn't without a great amount of effort and fighting between us. I hope can implement the protection implemented on myself to other high profile assets that you acquire. Also manage the exit program a lot better.
I writing this as I had another recent attempt at bullying during my very sweet retirement. I thank the person who shared information before it once again escalated. Probably saved their friends from a hard ban in game and maybe criminal prosecution. But I write for less lucky and more unfortunate gamers.
There are laws for cyber stalking, cyber bullying and more that continue to pop up into existence as Technology grows. These laws though exist, because people stood up. Some were victims family members after they died while others were victims themselves. The first thing though someone has to do is stand up for what is right. Don't let yourself be the Victim.
Also, for those men gamers, I want to say it's okay to cry, and yell, and scream at the injustice to yourself. There's no "be a man" or it's "just online" or they were "just joking" when some people try to push you down, and harm you. Don't isolate yourself and let the people you know what's happening to you and even the world if need be. Speaking up now, will protect further incidents in future. Let yourself be the hero of your own story.
